WHS Canning Brett designs and develops all components to our customer requirements within our facility in South Wales, with the added support of our Midlands based engineering centre.
WHS Canning Brett was originally formed as Canning Brett in Gloucester in 1960 as a steel spring clip manufacturer, before moving to Pontardawe, near Swansea. Subsequently, it was part of the PSM International group and then, more recently, acquired by WHS Plastics in 2023. A prominent employer in the local community, the team work collaboratively with customer engineering and purchasing teams to provide the optimum solution for all multi-stage pressing, metal fastener and metal clip requirements.
Our design and development team in Pontardawe develops all products in-house using Catia V5 and have the added benefit of being able to produce all prototypes in-house to verify and validate the complete process from initial concept to final production within one facility.
All projects are managed within the APQP framework to ensure a reliable and quality assured product is delivered to your exact requirements and specifications.
We also have the support of our Midlands based Development Centre, who are able to provide engineering specialists as well as the capability to produce 3D printed prototypes.
We also work closely with our material suppliers, toolmakers and machine manufacturers to optimise our processes and costs.
The facility in Pontardawe, South Wales has the capability to stamp, heat treat, and assemble small to medium-sized metal components and systems.
We have recently acquired a high-speed 40T Bruderer press to increase our capacity as well as increasing our competitiveness within the market place.
